Why choose bronze spray figures from Eliassen?
Bronze spray figures add refined accents by ponds, on terraces and in entrances. Bronze is hard, corrosion-resistant and develops a beautiful, natural patina outdoors. Our alloy with at least 75% copper ensures stability, elegant color nuances and a long service life. The water jet brings movement to your design, masks ambient noise and creates a relaxing atmosphere. Thanks to the many motifs – from animals like frog or dolphin to icons such as Manneken Pis – you’ll quickly find a design that fits. Combine the figure with a buried basin or a covered water tank under gravel for a clean look with minimal maintenance. At Eliassen you also benefit from expert advice, fast delivery and prices that are often more competitive than local.
Use and design: pond, water bowl or indoors
Bronze spray figures are highly versatile. At the pond edge they spout water back into the pond and enliven the biotope. Heron motifs work especially well near water. On terraces they pair beautifully with a concealed water tank under gravel – ideal if you don’t want a pond. Indoors, choose a quiet pump and a low-splash outlet, for example into a large bowl. Popular are natural motifs such as the king frog (bronze, spouting) and the bronze turtle; the characterful lion-head waterspout is also beloved. With suitable LED lighting you can emphasize contours in the evening light. Mind the proportions: small figures up to about 35 cm suit bowls and balconies, medium models work in borders and along paths, large sculptures make statements in front gardens, courtyards or hotel entrances. Clean, straight environments benefit especially from the organic form and movement of water. As an alternative to spray figures, bronze fountains are an elegant option.
Pump, hose and reservoir: how to choose right
For a beautiful jet you need the right setup. The choice depends on figure height, desired jet and head height.
- Pump capacity: Rule of thumb: approx. 300–600 l/h for small figures, 800–1500 l/h for medium and from 2000 l/h for large spray figures. The higher the outlet relative to the water level, the more powerful the pump should be.
- Hose diameter: Often 12–19 mm. Too small restricts flow; the right size keeps the jet stable.
- Water reservoir: For concealed setups, sturdy tanks with a cover and gravel are ideal. Choose sufficient volume so the pump doesn’t run dry and splash losses are compensated.
- Control: With flow regulators or a branch you can fine-tune the jet. A check valve prevents drain-back on restart.
- Power & safety: Use splash-proof sockets and sufficient cable length. Route hoses without tension to avoid kinks.
- Advice: We’re happy to help match figure, pump, hose and tank, or supply a complete set on request.

Maintenance and patina
Bronze is low-maintenance. Outdoors it develops a natural patina that protects the material and looks attractive. Remove light dirt with water and a soft cloth. Do not use aggressive cleaners or vinegar: acid can attack the surface. For a consistent jet, check hose and pump regularly and rinse out limescale carefully. Before winter: drain the water, store the pump frost-free and empty the hoses. The figure itself can usually remain outside. This way your bronze spray-figure installation stays beautiful and functional for years.
Frequently asked questions
What determines the value of bronze figures?
Size, casting quality, alloy, patina and motif. Series figures are priced more affordably than unique pieces by renowned artists. Our bronze spray figures offer an excellent price–quality ratio thanks to a high-grade alloy, precise casting and a 30-year guarantee.
How do I recognize real bronze in spray figures?
Real bronze is heavy, non-magnetic and shows fine casting details. The surface looks dense with a natural patina rather than lacquer gloss. Serious suppliers state the alloy – with us at least 75% copper – and provide transparent product information.
How are bronze spray figures cast?
Usually via the lost-wax process: make model, create mold, cast wax positive, melt out wax, pour bronze, remove mold, deburr and patinate. This yields sharp details and durable quality.
Are bronze spray figures winterproof?
Yes, the figures themselves are. Important: drain the water in time, empty hoses and store the pump frost-free. This prevents frost damage to the equipment and piping and ensures a smooth start in spring.
