A statue, a vase or a flower pot only comes into its own when it is clearly visible. Some ornaments, outdoor lamps and/or flower boxes are not high enough to be noticeable enough. The solution to this problem is to buy pedestals. Pedestals are (stone) columns that serve as a base for all kinds of decoration in the garden or indoors. At Eliassen you will also find an extensive range of concrete pedestals for indoor and outdoor statues.
Discover the advantages of bluestone plinths
Whether it concerns plinths for indoors or plinths for outdoors, the majority of our plinths are made of concrete. And that brings several advantages for you, as a future owner:
- Optimal stability: stone columns are heavyweights, that is common knowledge. You may think that this is a disadvantage due to the difficulty during installation, but in fact you also get a big advantage from this. Pedestals made of bluestone are so heavy that the risk of falling over or being blown over during a heavy storm is minimal.
- Stylish appearance: when you buy pedestals for statues, you naturally want them to look elegant. Concrete symbolizes power and prestige. Just think of the columns for statues that you see in all important historic buildings.
- Suitable for the Dutch climate: whether you are looking for columns with pots or pedestals without pots, here with us you always have to take the climate into account. Concrete is a material that is resistant to all types of (harsh) weather conditions. You don’t have to worry that a frost or hail shower or a sun-drenched summer will damage your outdoor or indoor plinths because that is virtually impossible.
Plinths for indoor use
A pedestal looks great not only on the corner of your terrace or in the middle of your flower bed, but also in the hall or living room. Invest in concrete pedestals for displaying works of art and place your bronze or stone statues on the column to highlight them. Do you prefer a different material? In addition to concrete plinths, Eliassen also offers a wide range of wooden plinths and natural stone plinths. Buy a few columns with a pot in Baroque style or brighten up your interior with a modern pedestal.
Outdoor pedestals
A concrete column is ideal, especially if you are specifically looking for one or more plinths for outdoor use. Concrete is very strong, lasts for years and gives your garden a unique look. From rural pedestals from the renowned English brand Dragonstone to pedestals in solid cast stone to decorate with a beautiful pot or statue. At Eliassen there is something for everyone.
