Description

Beautiful urn in the shape of a dog pillow made of real bronze. The bronze of this statue has a guaranteed copper content of 75%, which greatly enhances its longevity and appearance.

This bronze sculpture was made using the molten wax method, an ancient technique. An approx. 3 mm thick layer of wax is applied in the mold, after which the rest of the space is filled with special clay. Once the mold preparations are complete, liquid bronze is poured from the top of the mold, the wax melts and runs off; the resulting space is filled with bronze. After cooling, the mold is opened, then the sculpture is worked on, polishing, grinding, removing burrs, etc. For larger bronze sculptures and statues, bronze is cast in parts, then those parts are very meticulously soldered together, the seams are then polished and sanded into a complete bronze object. Bronze sculptures are treated with different acids to get the right color. Each type of acid causes its own oxidation which will be permanent.

Bronze sculptures can also safely stand outside, the sculpture will become somewhat matte, which many people actually like, if you want to keep the shine then you should rub the bronze sculpture with beeswax twice a year.
