The function of a plinth

Pedestals , also known as "columns, plant columns, pedestals or postaments", serve as pedestals for statues, ornaments, vases, flower boxes and/or outdoor lamps. By using a column, your stone statue or wooden flower box is placed higher so that it is better visible and you enjoy it more. Most plinths are made of concrete (stone), which offers you as an owner many interesting advantages:

• Resistant to all kinds of weather conditions : Concrete is an extremely strong material that can withstand extreme temperature fluctuations. Even during harsh winter days with freezing temperatures below zero or during a violent storm or thunderstorm, there is no danger of damage to your pedestal.
• Heavyweights : Although this may not immediately seem like an advantage to you, it is very positive that a stone column weighs more than 100 kg in almost all cases. Despite the fact that this feature can cause some inconvenience during installation, the chance of it falling over is as good as excluded.
